Trash
Collection:
Routine trash collection service
is provided on a weekly basis, and residents are not assessed
a fee for trash collection services. Bagged trash only is
to be set curbside no later than 7:00 a.m. on the day of
trash collection, but not earlier that 6:00 p.m. the day
preceding the scheduled collection. Bags are not to exceed
33 gallon capacity and shall contain no more than 35 pounds.
Bulk items trash collection, i.e.
the collecting of furniture, household fixtures, box springs/mattresses, etc.,
shall occur six (6) times a year beginning with January and again in March, May,
July, September, and November. During these months, bulk item collection occurs
teh same day as your regularly scheduled trash collection day. (Please reference
Ordinance No. 97-1406.) Public notice is given well in advance of bulk item collections
via local newspaper and radio. It is a violation to set any bulk item curbside
for collection outside of bulk item collection times. Information on your trash
day collection day can be obtained by calling the City Superintendent's Office
at 765.342.7800.
